‘June, Valentines is fine. But you being mine is more fine. – Thine, John’
That’s a 1987 Valentines day note by Johnny Cash to his beloved wife, June Carter Cash. He was an American singer, songwriter, musician, actor, and author. One of the best selling music artists of all time.
After getting divorced by his first wife, Cash proposed to June, during a live performance in London & they got married on 1968, in Franklin. They had one child together.
I am starting off the series with this Love letter because, this one is simple & sweet, not over filled with too cheesy literary words. It’s pretty straight.
So here is one of the most famous love letters known to the world.
‘Happy Birthday Princess,
We get old and get used to each other. We think alike. We read each others minds. We know what the other wants without asking. Sometimes we irritate each other a little bit. May be sometimes take each other for granted.
But once in a while, like today, I meditate on it and realize how lucky I am to share my life with the greatest woman I ever met. You still fascinate and inspire me. You influence me for the better. You’re the object of my desire, the #1 Earthly reason for my existence. I love you very much. Happy Birthday Princess.
Both these love notes were featured in the 2011 book ‘House Of Cash‘ written by the couple’s son John Carter Cash.
So instead of texting Hi to to your loved one write him/her a letter with your whole heart, at least for once in a life time…….
